Cavite-Laguna Expressway
CALAX is a 44.6-km east-west expressway connecting CAVITEX in Kawit to SLEX in Biñan. It opened in 2019 and offers the fastest expressway link from southern Manila to Tagaytay.
About CALAX
The Cavite-Laguna Expressway is the youngest tollway in the South Luzon network, opened in 2019 and continuing to expand westward. It is operated by MPCALA Holdings, an MPTC subsidiary, and uses Easytrip RFID end-to-end.
CALAX bridges two existing expressways: SLEX at Mamplasan in Biñan, Laguna, and CAVITEX at Kawit, Cavite. The closed-system road threads behind Sta. Rosa, Silang, and the southern Tagaytay ridge — making it the de-facto expressway gateway to Tagaytay weekenders.
Because the road is still being completed segment by segment, the final fare matrix may change as new exits open. As of 2026 the operating sections include Mamplasan, Sta. Rosa/Tagaytay, Silang Interchange, Silang East, Laguna Blvd., and Technopark.
A Class 1 trip end-to-end on CALAX runs about ₱81 in 2026 — short hops between adjacent exits start around ₱17.
Expressway connections
CALAX connects to the following expressways. Both Easytrip and Autosweep RFID work end-to-end thanks to the interoperability agreement.
